Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 14D14R FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, our Water Management Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in maintaining site water infrastructure.

This includes centrifugal pumps, portable generators, submersible pumps, and isolation and control valves.

You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on achieving peak operational efficiency while upholding the highest safety standards in a large-scale dewatering environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, fault finding, and breakdown repairs on site water systems, including pipework, tanks, and control valves
  • Remove and install multistage bore pumps, centrifugal pumps, fire pumps, and isolation/control valves
  • Refuel all generators and pumps
  • Identify faults within the water network and raise SAP notifications to the relevant engineering or maintenance discipline
  • Operate mobile equipment, including IT loaders, telehandlers, excavators, and light/medium trucks
  • Conduct polywelding and basic fabrication work
  • Operate a large-scale water distribution system and manage pond levels


Qualifications And Experience


  • Proven experience in water services operations, including exposure to bore fields, mine planning, equipment isolations, and water compliance requirements
  • Polywelding and fabrication certification
  • High-Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – LF, DG, and CN desirable
  • Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Strong commitment to zero harm and continuous improvement practices
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is advantageous
