Job Summary

Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for process improvement? We're looking for an experienced Credit & Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team and help drive effective credit control and collections across the business.

As part of the Oceania Finance Team, this position can be based in either Melbourne, Australia or Hamilton, New Zealand.

Tetra Pak is not offering relocation for this position.

What You Will Do

In this key role, you'll be the go-to expert for credit control and collections, working closely with our Key Account Management (KAM) team and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily credit and collections questions alongside the KAM team
  • Leading Accounts Receivable reconciliation and overseeing aging analysis
  • Preparing documentation and participating in credit committee discussions
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with group credit policies
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in credit and collection processes
  • Coordinating direct debit processes and resolving customer A/R issues
  • Preparing write-down and write-off proposals for A/R
  • Collaborating with internal teams, banks, and outsourcing partners to ensure smooth financial operations

We believe you have

You’re a proactive problem solver with the ability to navigate complex credit and collection challenges. You bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, treasury, or international accounting/credit collections
  • A university degree (Bachelor level) or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of finance principles, accounting standards, and governance
  • Confidence in transactional systems and financial reporting
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) at an operational level
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to contribute to cross-functional teams and committees
