What To Expect
The Tesla Energy Team is seeking an Asset Management Intern for their Industrial Storage product line. Working with the Energy Asset Management team who is responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational performance of these energy assets, ensuring they meet their intended objectives and deliver value to both customers and stakeholders. This includes the continuous evaluation of improved operations, system performance, and site level profitability for the assigned asset.
This position serves to assist & support Tesla’s Asset Managers who acts as the main point of contact for owners and partners of Tesla deployed Battery Storage products. This is a fast paced hands on opportunity to gain experience within a company who is accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable energy. This position will ideally suit someone who has an engineering or business background.
This role will be a full-time six-month opportunity based at our Melbourne HQ.
What You'll Do
Assist in collaborating with internal teams to support the monitoring of performance & optimization metrics, contributing to the project’s availability and profitability. Review reoccurring reports on project performance as needed per contractual obligations and drive the closure of open cases / inquiries across the projects. Support service technicians, engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to solve technical challenges Support with legal, contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues as they arise. Support the team in reviewing project documents for compliance. Work closely with the onsite operations team to ensure safe and efficient operations of the asset. Work with internal and external stakeholders to operate the asset and support with developing strategies to maximise revenue, reduce risk and market exposure.
What You'll Bring
Currently working towards or obtains a degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field. Applicant with 1 or 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Renewables or Industrial Scale Battery storage. Communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, JIRA and working with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau). Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing asset inefficiencies. Display a clear sense of priority and the ability to manage workload independently. Have working rights in Australia.
