This position plays a key role in the Australian sales function, owning specific customers to maximize needs, achieve business growth and sales targets set. In addition, this role should play a part in collaborating with others to help stimulate a creative and differentiated sales strategy for our customers.

This position plays a key role in the Australian sales function, owning specific customers to maximize needs, achieve business growth and sales targets set. In addition, this role should play a part in collaborating with others to help stimulate a creative and differentiated sales strategy for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
If successful in this role, we will expect to see:
Sales Planning and Forecasting
- Complete account plans for each customer as part of the annual budget process, planning the strategic direction of the Cygnett brand and product at customer level.
- Conduct Weekly / Monthly forecasting across all SKUs within an agreed accuracy rate
- Maintain Cygnett – Customer account plans with all key customers through strategic planning sessions (1-2 per year), formal quarterly performance review with the customer, and on-going informal weekly/monthly meetings. Document with notes distributed to management and stakeholders.
- Understand customers buying calendar, ensuring OTB opportunities are capitalised for all indent buys and timing communicated to PM team.
- Understand customer promotional calendar, and work with PM and Marketing to capitalize on available OTB for promotional buys.
- Review your customer sell thru-data weekly/monthly and action appropriately through proactive recommendations to customers, to drive sales, replenishment orders and effectively manage stock
- Identify potential new business for existing products and any other new opportunities through on-going customer review and market research
- Plan for expected new business together with extending existing business
- Develop pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns.
- Achieve sales and gross profit budgets set for your Key Accounts.
- Manage debtor’s turnover in accordance with set process
- Manage sales and stock at customer level where appropriate to reduce stock returns
- Evaluate sales success of all products and categories at customer level and provide feedback to PM team
- Acquire, understand and maintain up to date knowledge of our entire product offerings relevant to the AU market and your customers, including all pricing, product features, benefits and product use.
- Submit regular reports on company’s activities and performance for planning and review, where requested
- Attend Sales meetings as required
- Maintain relevant project plans for any new markets, projects or major developments
Education
- Business/Marketing Degree or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated success in a similar role in a high volume and fast moving business
- Strong organizational, administrative and commercial skills
- Solution based selling techniques - Ability to think strategically and creatively about how to create a win-win partnership for us and our customers
- An affinity for quality and stylish consumer electronics
- Active listener with a solution focus
- Strong and genuine customer relationship development capability
