We're partnering with a well-established industrial business in Western Sydney that's looking for a proactive and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join their team. This well-established, high-performing business is a leader in its industry, offering a collaborative and supportive team culture. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations, driving efficiencies, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and assist with corporate income tax obligations
- Support the preparation of statutory financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors on tax queries, compliance updates, and advisory projects
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline financial and tax reporting
- A degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CA or CPA qualified
- Big 4 First Movers are highly encouraged to apply
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment
- Solid knowledge of Australian tax compliance
- Strong Excel and ERP system skills (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- A salary of up to $115,000 + Super.
- A broad role with variety - from month-end reporting to tax, cash flow forecasting, and fixed asset management
- Exposure to business partnering.
