About The Role

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Scheduler with solid experience in project planning and scheduling to join our team in Cairns. Reporting to the Scheduler Lead, you'll be key in building and maintaining project schedules that support our sustainment contracts.

This role isn’t just about dates and timelines, it’s about using data to help project teams make smarter decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure project performance is measurable, trackable and aligned with the bigger picture, all while keeping schedules accurate and defensible under Earned Value Management (EVM) systems.

What Involved

  • Developing high-level and detailed schedules to support operations and delivery across ISS contracts
  • Establishing project baselines for resource and capacity planning
  • Maintaining accurate, consistent schedules across all project teams
  • Working with cost controllers and managers to produce EVM reports and control variance
  • Continuously improving scheduling systems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Need

Essential

  • Australian Citizenship – essential for security clearance.
  • Up-to 5 years experience in a scheduling role.
  • Confident using Primavera P6 (minimum 2 years' hands-on experience).
  • Understanding of EVM, project forecasting, cost estimation (ETC/EAC).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working with Defence, Government or Commercial stakeholders.
  • Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM or above) through AIPM.
  • Shipbuilding or Defence experience highly regarded.
  • Proven leadership experience – ideally 5 years managing teams.
