Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll focus on high-impact activities that drive our business forward. You'll lead our month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while collaborating with teams across the organisation.
You'll take ownership of our statutory audit process, working directly with external auditors and preparing comprehensive documentation. Your expertise in balance sheet reconciliations and corporate reporting will ensure we meet all regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy.
Your role extends beyond traditional accounting, you'll prepare weekly operational cashflow forecasts that keep our business running smoothly, contribute to our annual budget process, and support strategic planning initiatives. You'll also manage our tax obligations, including GST lodgments, FBT returns, and income tax preparation, making you an integral part of our compliance framework.

- Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA) with solid technical knowledge
- Previous audit experience, with Big 4 background preferred but not essential
- Strong month-end close experience and excellent time management skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with accounting software (D365 experience advantageous)
- Extensive knowledge of AASB16 lease accounting and corporate tax requirements
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Team leadership capabilities and strong business partnering skills
- Desire to work in retail industry (previous retail experience preferred but not essential)
