This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Part Time, Permanent Full Time Fixed Term Part Time and Fixed Term Full Time, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
We currently have various opportunities for Secondment, Casual, Fixed Term and Permanent appointments in five of our specialised programs: iThrive, Limb Difference, Cerebral Palsy Mobility Service, Early Intervention, and iRehab.
Position Profile
We are seeking experienced allied health clinicians to join Kids Rehab WA as program Coordinators, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care for children and young people with acquired and congenital neurological conditions. Our five specialised rehabilitation programs include iThrive, Limb Difference, Cerebral Palsy Mobility Service, Early Intervention, and iRehab.
Reporting to the Paediatric Rehabilitation Manager, you will balance clinical expertise with organisational oversight to lead our multi-disciplinary team and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the program, acting as a central touch point across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring care plans are integrated and clearly communicated across all team members and a seamless, coordinated experience for children and their families.
Your ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including families, educators, community providers, and researchers, and work flexibly across clinical, administrative, and relational domains is essential to maintaining the integrity of care.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Coordinating care across internal teams, families, schools, and community providers, managing schedules, communication, case discussions, and clinical pathways.
- Leading clinical planning, care coordination, pre-operative meetings, and patient transitions.
- Supporting families to navigate services by liaising with community agencies, facilitating admissions/ discharges, and connecting them with community, hospital, and government supports.
- Maintaining external networks and providing consultation and education to community paediatric therapy providers.
- Liaising with education and service providers to promote continuity of care, inclusion, and access to appropriate supports.
- Driving quality improvement through service data analysis, gap identification, and support for service development initiatives.
- Collaborating with research teams on recruitment, data collection, and clinical trial implementation, integrating research into practice.
- Developing and delivering educational resources for health professionals, students, children, young people, and families.
Please note a Tertiary Qualification in Allied Health is a requirement for this role.

Kids Rehab WA is an integrated, state-wide service specialising in rehabilitation services for infants, children and adolescents with acquired or congenital neurodevelopmental disorders or neurological injuries. Our speciality streams include acquired brain injury, spinal rehabilitation, early intervention, cerebral palsy, intensive rehabilitation, limb difference, and the iThrive complex neurodisability service.
Our multidisciplinary team focus on helping individuals adjust to disabilities and trauma, improve functional outcomes, establish personal goals and participate in daily activities and educational pursuits, including reintegration into home and school life. We support families to navigate their child’s developmental stages and changing needs in relation to their medical condition or disability, with a focus on enhancing overall quality of life.
Through our dedicated clinical research space and in collaboration with our Consumer Steering group, the The Kids Research Institute, universities and other hospitals, our active research team drive an ambitious research agenda ensuring children and adolescents have access to the latest evidence-based medicine and services to improve functional outcomes and unlock their potential.

Requirements

- Evidence of a Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and eligible for registration by the relevant Board of Australia, or Tertiary qualification in Prosthetics and Orthotics and eligible for full membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA), or Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers, or Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligible for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
