The Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded and analytically driven Commercial Marketing Analyst to join our growing team. This critical role supports the Marketing function by providing data-led insights, strategic reporting, and actionable recommendations that link marketing activity to business performance.

Reporting to the General Manager of Marketing and working across key departments—including Merchandising, Digital, Finance, loyalty and eCommerce—you’ll analyse campaign effectiveness, customer behaviour, product performance, and sales trends to help shape impactful, customer-focused marketing strategies that deliver real commercial value.

What You’ll Do

  • Track and analyse campaign performance across in-store, online, digital, and trade channels
  • Deliver actionable insights into campaign ROI, sales uplift, customer engagement, and loyalty program behaviour
  • Support customer segmentation and profiling, using purchase patterns and lifecycle stages to inform targeting
  • Partner with Merchandising and Category teams to assess sales performance during promotional periods
  • Build commercial models to evaluate marketing offers, promotions, and discounting strategies
  • Monitor budget efficiency and provide forecast support to Marketing and Finance teams Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Excel, and Phocas
  • Work collaboratively to deliver clear and relevant performance reports to key stakeholders
  • Assist in building business cases and presentation materials for new marketing initiatives
  • Stay across retail trends and digital performance metrics to help shape future campaigns

Your Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a Commercial or Business Analyst role, ideally within retail or a trade-focused business
  • Proven experience supporting marketing teams with reporting, modelling, and commercial insights
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Phocas
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL or coding languages such as Python or R is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting insights to stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience with CRM systems, loyalty platforms, and digital marketing metrics highly regarded
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and retail promotional performance is desirable
