About the Role

At MTC we are on a mission to empower people through purpose and we are looking for an inspiring Organisational Development and Learning Manager to join our People & Culture team and help us achieve that goal. The People & Culture team partners with MTC to foster a values-led, people-first culture, one where our people are engaged, empowered and inspired by our purpose. We are based in Marrickville with hybrid WFH.

Reporting to the General Manager of People & Culture, the Organisational Development and Learning Manager is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and leadership development. Working closely with the people operations team and leading our Learning and Development Business Partner to deliver impactful programs. Other key duties of the role will include:

Culture and Engagement

  • Lead employee engagement strategies that enhance satisfaction, motivation and connection to purpose.
  • Drive engagement and our listening strategy through our employee experience platform (Culture Amp)
  • Review and evolve MTC’s performance review process to reflect best practices and strengthen the quality of performance and development conversations.
  • Partner with senior leaders on change management initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of our internal recognition program.
  • Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions and action planning.
  • Coordinate culture and engagement activities – including interpreting engagement survey results, running debrief sessions and supporting action planning across teams and business units.

Learning & Development

  • Collaborate with the ELT and senior leaders to shape and implement a learning and development strategy that supports our people, strengthens our culture and aligns with strategic growth priorities.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate impactful learning programs that address skill gaps and promote support employee development and organisational goals.
  • Develop a network of internal facilitators and external partners.
  • Lead, coach and support the L&D Partner to implement the organisational learning strategy.

Talent Management

  • Partner with business leaders and the people and culture operations team to design and deliver talent initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the MTC talent framework.
  • Create and implement capability plans and development pathways.

Data-Drive People Insights

  • Utilise data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of organisational development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present clear, insight reports for senior leaderships and the board.

About You:

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, psychology or related fields.
  • Experience leading Organisational Development, Learning and Development and change projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Demonstrated internal consulting expertise.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships with broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, business acumen and organisational awareness.
  • Strong analytical, report writing and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organisation, time management and planning skills.
