Short Description: Need an experienced Release Lead, with Financial domain and IAM experience for our position for Lead Consultant / Principal Consultant @ Melbourne
Location : Melbourne AUS
Salary Range: 150742-171215 AUD Annual Gross
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Release planning and coordination across participating squads/tribes
- Escalates Risk and issues to Tribe Sync and Tribe Governances for Support
- Creates, updates, and closes all associated change Request and Release Records.
- Ensures all inputs for change Requests and Release Records are provided by squads and supporting teams
- Analyzes and manages dependencies from external systems making related and supporting changes
- Coordinates Release record review with enablers
- Follows up on outstanding items and approvals for change Requests and Release Records
- Finalizes details of components for deployment
- Compiles Runsheet and organizes review with stakeholders
- Co-ordinates implementation activities for release
- Co-ordinate and/or execute moderate to complex pre-deployment activities: code scan, vulnerability scan and Pen testing etc.
- Co-ordinate and/or execute moderate to complex deployment activities into production: code deployment
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of Source Code Control / Branching / Naming / Merge Controls
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of Orchestration and Build Tools
- Understands the concepts of Secure Development and Testing practices.
- Extensive Experience with automated deployments using Terraform, Terraform Cloud (esp. on GCP)
Skill / Competencies / Experience:
ESSENTIAL
- Demonstrated competency to deliver business outcomes of the various initiatives as established Release Lead
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Release Processes, business needs and technology domain
- Ability to improve on existing processes to allow for improved delivery by influencing squad engineering practices
- Be able to apply engineering principles and tools to effectively provision and coordinate complex interdependencies
- Ability to develop and agree value for change initiatives and track value through execution
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of Orchestration and Build Tools (Jenkins / CircleCI / GoCD / etc)
- Extensive Experience with automated (IaC) deployments using Terraform, Terraform Cloud (on GCP , AWS)
- Experience in automation for cloud environments (EoD), deploying stateless and stateful workloads to virtual machines, auto-scaling groups, and docker/container services
- Hands on experience working with at least one cloud (AWS or GCP) in the capacity of automation engineer/platform engineer, devops role
- Willingness to learn the other cloud ecosystem (AWS or GCP)
- Demonstrated ability with the build and deployment process for different technology-based applications like .Net, .Net-Core, Node JS, Python, etc.
- Across a Hybrid Ecosystem [ On-Premises, AWS, GCP ]
PREFERRED
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Have used Ansible / Chef / Puppet
- Knows what an Artifact Repository is and why you would use one.
- Strong understanding or experience with Security automation tooling.
- Highly advantageous, JFrog Antifactory
- Basic development/scripting experience in Python
- Security Certification (CISSP, CISM etc)
- Banking / Financial Domain Certifications
- Agile / Scrum certified
- ITIL certified
ADDITIONAL
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Business, emerging technologies in relevant industry / domain, strong understanding of trends (market and technology) in areas of specialization.
