The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and positive Administration Officer to join our friendly Administration team. This position is 4 x days per week, 9am to 5pm.
The Theatre Bookings officer will be responsible for:
- Preparing patient information for patients booked for surgery
- Receiving and preparing patient admission and consent forms
- Theatre list management and data entry
- Liaising with doctor’s rooms for booking information
- Managing e-mails and faxes sent to group inboxes
The Theatre Bookings Officer will fulfil their role within the team with the support of the Administration Manager and Administration team leader.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria:
- Previous hospital/medical experience
- Experience in a customer service role
- Well-developed communication skills to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new skills
- A proven ability to adapt to an ever changing environment
Desirable Criteria:
- Some knowledge of the private health sector including health fund contract tables/member eligibility
- Medical Terminology
