Job Description

As a Platform Engineer – DataOps, you are responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines across Azure/AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Terraform, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and PySpark, and will play a key role in enabling reliable, secure, and efficient data operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-native data infrastructure using Terraform across Azure/AWS.
  • Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Develop and optimize PySpark code for large-scale data processing and transformation.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure and data workflows.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and analytics teams to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, workflows, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Years of experience in platform engineering, DataOps, or cloud data engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure/AWS Databricks, and PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and transformation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Log Analytics).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
