About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Managed Security Specialist to join our team, focusing on Information Security.
This multi-faceted role involves delivering key governance, risk, and compliance objectives for Experteq and its clients. It also includes providing advanced security operations, project leadership, capability development, and thought leadership to operational security.

What You Will Do Here
- Prepare customer security reports and conduct regular client security management meetings.
- Provide security operational support and project support with clients, driving improvement and delivering successful outcomes.
- Manage regular reviews, penetration testing, compliance programs, and audits.
- Contribute to the information security Risk Register, remediation activities, and exceptions.
- Work closely with the Security Operation partner on incident remediation.
- Coordinate threat hunting activities, perform vulnerability assessment activities, and provide feedback on alert tuning and detection enhancement.
Who You Are
- Experienced in a customer-facing role or with a mix of large and small organisations, government, and private sectors.
- Hold certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC900, or equivalent (must).
- Possess strong experience within the Azure Security stack (Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID) and with a vulnerability management platform.
- Knowledgeable in compliance and security frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, Essential 8, NIST-CSF).
- Have GRC or Audit experience.
- Sound ITIL knowledge across Incident, Problem, and Change.
- Possess unrestricted permanent working rights in Australia and the ability to obtain security clearance.
