Part of the Investment Operations team which supports the implementation of the investment strategy, mitigates operational risk, and delivers oversight reporting to inform decision making. This role supports the team’s derivative-related regulatory oversight function and will assist with the build out of future state reporting capability. The position will play a key role in managing the Fund’s derivative reporting obligations to regulators establishing a robust oversight framework.


The incumbent will leverage their existing experience in derivative transaction reporting, regulatory reporting obligations and end-to-end derivative trade lifecycles including collateral management. They will assist with the Fund’s oversight of reporting for internal and external derivative transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will work directly with external vendors and managers, as well as the Cbus Investments team. The successful person will also play a key role for the Investment Operations team in derivative and internalisation-based projects.


We are looking for your experience across;

  • Detailed experience in derivative transaction reporting in an ASIC regulated entity including in relation to trade and margin state reports,
  • Understanding of the over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives asset classes and their associated regulatory reporting requirements,
  • Detailed experience with regulatory reporting rules for derivatives transactions, specifically those set by ASIC,
  • An understanding of the end-to-end derivative trade lifecycle in relation to the various derivative trade reporting requirements that might be generated by certain trades.


The successful applicant will have sound investments, financial market and product knowledge (including both cleared and uncleared derivatives) particularly in investment operations and regulations at an institutional level, with a fund manager, superannuation fund or custodian.
