About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer to join our IT team to lead the consolidation of multiple Citrix environments into a streamlined, scalable solution. In addition to driving the integration process, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance, and support of the consolidated Citrix infrastructure.

This is a critical role that requires both deep technical expertise and strategic vision to improve performance, reliability, and user experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of consolidating multiple Citrix environments (XenApp/XenDesktop/Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops).
  • Design and implement scalable and secure Citrix architecture based on business requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day administration and support of Citrix environments, including monitoring, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to ensure a seamless transition and stable operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Citrix sessions, user access, application delivery, and backend systems
  • Document the environment, configurations, and changes for operational transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices, data protection, and licensing requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience consolidating and supporting complex, multi-site Citrix environments
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, StoreFront, Director, Studio, and NetScaler (ADC)
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and profile management solutions (e.g., FSLogix, Citrix UPM)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., ControlUp, Citrix Director), automation/scripting (PowerShell), and image management (e.g., PVS or MCS)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integrations (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid deployments is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Citrix Certified Associate/Professional/Expert (CCA-V, CCP-V, or CCE-V)
  • ITIL or similar process framework knowledge
