Talent International is searching for an experienced Program Transition Specialist to join a respected organisation in the higher education and research sector. This role is based in St Lucia on an initial contract until June 2026.
This role provides specialist support to the Transition Manager of the program who is responsible for managing the Cutover and the Service Transition of the new solution and the Hypercare phase following go-live.

This role provides specialist support to the Transition Manager of the program who is responsible for managing the Cutover and the Service Transition of the new solution and the Hypercare phase following go-live.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
Cutover
- Support the Transition Manager in Creating and managing the detailed cutover plan, which outlines the steps for migrating to the new solution.
- Work with various teams to ensure that all aspects of the transition are accounted for.
- Support the actual cutover process, ensuring a successful transition to the new system, ensuring all activities are completed on schedule.
- Support Transition Manager in business continuity during the transition period, minimising downtime and disruptions.
- Support Transition Manager in keeping stakeholders informed about the cutover, progress including regular status updates and issues/resolution plans.
- Help and Support Transition Manager in identifying potential risks during the cutover process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Support and facilitate arranging cutover workshops, command centre, and cutover & Hypercare logistics
- Develop and update Cutover and Hypercare rosters
- Help facilitating Cutover Dress Rehearsals and logistics
- Support facilitating regular meetings with business and program teams to track progress and ensure alignment on priorities.
- Support Transition Manager in developing regular status reports and dashboards in preparation, during and post cutover.
- Support Transition Manager in planning the Hypercare and managing the Hypercare phase after the solution goes live.
- Support the Transition Manager in ensuring the new solution is stable, performs optimally and users are adequately supported in resolving any issues.
- Support Coordination and prioritising the resolution of issues that arise during the Hypercare Period.
- Help closing of open incidents/change requests that need to be completed post go-live.
- Support Transition Manager in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving any system issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Help Transition Manager in ensuring the solution is fully transitioned to the operations teams with proper knowledge transfer and documentation.
- Coordinate the handover of responsibilities from the Hypercare team to the ongoing support and operations team.
- Support facilitating knowledge transfer, ensuring that all documentation and learnings are passed to the support/operational teams.
- Support Transition Manager in developing regular reports and dashboards on post go live support progress/stabilisation including key metrics like incident response times.
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Program Transition Specialist.
In Addition, You Will Have
- Experience (1 to 3 years) in a moderate to large scale cutover and Hypercare activities
- Strong experience in coordinating project schedules, resources and deliverables delivery and support phases.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail and quality and timeliness of completed work, including written reports and presentations.
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated, combined with a high level of initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
- Strong work ethics and willingness to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Understanding of test environments, practices and testing
- Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Project and Jira
- Experience with Workforce Management (Time and Attendance, Rostering, Scheduling) systems.
- Significant experience (3 years or more) with some HCM and/or PY ERP software.
- Experience working in the higher education sector.
