You’ll lead the design, build, and operationalisation of modern practices across enterprise and government environments, and you’ll get to experiment and influence our direction in AI. As part of Orro’s senior engineering group, you’ll work across presales, delivery, and operations acting as both a technical leader and trusted advisor. What You’ll Be Doing
Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture
- Partner with solution and sales teams to translate customer goals into DevOps-enabled cloud solutions.
- Produce architecture diagrams, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
- Deliver clear, confident technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure automation.
- Architect cloud-native solutions using Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, CloudFormation).
- Build secure, scalable environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Mentor and guide delivery teams during complex implementations.
- Drive performance monitoring, automation, and incident response across production environments.
- Champion best practice for proactive capacity planning, security, and compliance.
- Develop self-healing infrastructure and reduce operational burden through smart automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed DevOps principles across Orro solutions.
You’re a senior DevOps expert with strong client instincts, cloud fluency, and a knack for turning complexity into simplicity. Your toolkit likely includes:
- 8+ years in DevOps, with 2+ years leading technical teams or projects
- Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Advanced scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Comfortable designing and troubleshooting hybrid and cloud-native architectures
- Deep experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Confidence working with clients and leading pre-sales conversations
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid deployments
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (e.g. Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK)
- Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, CKA/CKAD
- Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, iRAP)
