We provide advice, design, and planning support to major clients globally, and our growing Climate and Sustainability services team is seeking a candidate to support a wide range of projects as we help clients achieve their sustainability goals.

We are working on some of Australia’s most exciting infrastructure projects across rail, road, water, ports and airports. From early strategy to detailed design, we help clients deliver sustainable, future ready outcomes.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead and support sustainability workstreams on major infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate with designers and project managers to shape practical, high impact solutions.

Based in WA, you’ll join a regionally connected team of sustainability experts, working across project, portfolio and corporate levels. This is a great opportunity to influence how infrastructure is planned and delivered across Australia.

The Opportunity

Develop comprehensive reports, documents, and technical papers across a range of sustainability topics, prioritizing logical organisation and clarity. Conduct in-depth research, data analysis, and meticulous fact-checking to ensure report accuracy. Complete thorough reviews and editing of reports for impeccable grammar, clarity, and coherence. Actively participate in delivering reports to stakeholders and engage in follow-up discussions and action plans.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders and clients to seamlessly implement advanced sustainability strategies and business processes that improve sustainability performance for infrastructure projects in areas such as climate resilience, carbon, circular economy, nature-based solutions, and social value.


  • Take ownership of conducting sustainability assessments and detailed life cycle analyses.
  • Promote advanced sustainable design, construction, and operational practices; understanding how emerging technologies can elevate practice.
  • Work alongside planners and designers to advance new practices and push boundaries.
  • Coordinate infrastructure sustainability rating or certification schemes, ability to translate core principles of sustainability schemes to projects or agencies who are not engaged in a certification scheme.
  • Manage mid to large sized projects, allocating resources effectively, engaging with Subject Matter Experts as required, collaborating with
  • stakeholders to meet project goals, and managing client communication and reporting.
  • Demonstrate an active interest in the career development of junior staff. Proactively coach and train junior sustainability staff to help them grow their technical, project management and business development skills.

Is this role right for you?


  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or similar area;
  • Relevant sustainability experience within a consulting business or project delivery environment;
  • Proven experience in leading and delivery of Infrastructure Sustainability Council ratings and/or equivalent infrastructure sustainability certification schemes;
  • Planning & Delivery – Demonstratable ability to create organized plans and execute them efficiently, managing resources to meet deadlines and adapting to changes.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential, PowerBI, Python, and Power Query is desirable.
