The Company

Our client is an independent sponsor, advisor, investor, and manager of long-term concession-based infrastructure projects, specialising in a wide range of sectors. They’ve successfully delivered over $15 billion in major developments, including some of Australia’s biggest public-private partnerships. They’re now looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the team and work along side some of the industry’s most experienced executives, helping oversee the design, construction and operations, whilst reporting directly to the Project Manager.

The successful candidate will operate as the client’s representative and should bring experience from a background in site management, project management, or engineering, ideally within commercial or residential construction environments.

This role offers an immediate start, with flexible work arrangements. Our client promotes a results-driven culture - there’s flexibility in working hours, with a focus on delivering outcomes rather than clock-watching.

The Role

  • Manage and coordinate Project Co’s compliance with project documentation and contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with the Project Co Representative to review and oversee the Design & Construct (D&C) subcontractor’s responsibilities, including design development, modifications, completion, safety, and reporting
  • Support oversight of the operational subcontractor’s obligations alongside the Project Co Representative, covering plan development, mobilisation, and project completion tasks
  • Monitor and track the construction program against key milestones to ensure timely progress
  • Prepare periodic reports and maintain health and safety procedures and records for Project Co
  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project delivery

Experience Required

  • A stable track record of working for property developers - client side or background in either site management, project management or engineering with experience in the commercial or residential construction industry.
  • A high level of professional presentation, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels, is essential.
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in construction.
