What we need from you / What our client requires

· Solid experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and related IBM mainframe tools, including debugging and telemetry

· In-depth knowledge of mainframe operating systems such as z/OS and z/VSE

· Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and maintain technical documentation

· Must hold a current and active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance





We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our federal government client's team. In this role, you'll support and enhance a large-scale mainframe application used for secure identity and document processing. This includes end-to-end software development and production support, with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance.



Key Requirements



· Design, code, and maintain efficient and secure mainframe applications

· Produce clear specifications and technical documentation

· Conduct unit and component testing and support broader system testing activities

· Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

· Provide incident response, troubleshooting, and technical support

· Participate in forward planning and provide occasional after-hours support on a rotating basis
