The Role:
We are looking for Senior HR Business Partners for the provision of expert HR consultancy and advisory services to senior management and across the Department for Housing and Urban Development (DHUD).
Being part of a recently formed Department, these roles provide opportunities for:
- Influencing workforce management by playing a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative approaches that drive organisational success.
- Leading exciting people projects by being involved in diverse and meaningful projects that enhance employee engagement, policy and strategy setting and overall departmental culture.
- Shaping business delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders to influence how our department delivers against our commitments.
You will hold the following responsibilities:
- Provide client- focussed expert advice and consultancy to senior executives and managers of designated business units/directorates on a wide range of complex HR management to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Management, mentoring, coaching and guidance is provided to team members and business groups on HR matters to facilitate informed decision making and resolution of complex people management issues, and to build capacity across the department.
- Innovative HR projects, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented, promoted and evaluated to achieve departmental workforce management objectives, public sector initiatives, continuous improvement practices and legislative compliance.
About you:
- Significant experience in providing HR advisory and consultancy services across a range of matters, including advising on, interpreting and administering legislative and policy requirements, classification management, performance management, report writing and strategies.
- Proven ability to work under limited direction within a team environment, exercise a high level of initiative and judgement in setting priorities to achieve objectives and to respond positively and flexibly to new ideas and changing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to research and undertake sensitive and/or complex matters, analyse and summarise information, and develop and report on appropriate policies, strategies and solutions.
