The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Manager - Strategic Product, this is a dynamic and impactful role focused on managing our grave and cremation product portfolio. You'll ensure products are appropriately mapped, accurately stocked, competitively priced, and aligned with both community needs and commercial strategy.

SMCT offers a range of burial and cremation options across our cemeteries and memorial parks, including graves, crypts, cremation niches, and memorial placements. In this role, you'll support availability and quality across these offerings, while driving improvements in inventory management, supplier relationships, and product lifecycle planning.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stock-related projects and act as the main internal contact.
  • Forecast demand and analyse stock performance to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate system data, including pricing, location, and product attributes.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage inventory levels across multiple sites.
  • Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and pricing negotiations.
  • Conduct cost analysis and monitor margin performance.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance through regular checks.
  • Update mapping data to maintain accuracy of grave and memorial locations.
  • Support marketing initiatives through promotional activities and signage.
  • Collaborate across teams to align product strategies with business objectives.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A problem-solving mindset with commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • A process-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook; Dynamics experience is ideal.
