General Manager

About the Role

The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for Safety Steel Structures, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all aspects of the business. This includes overseeing daily operations, driving safety and productive improvements and ensuring the company meets or exceeds its financial, operational and customer satisfaction targets. The General Manager is also responsible for fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and employee development while ensuring compliance within industry standards and regulations. By optimising resources, managing budgets, and implementing effective procurement strategies, the General Manager will enhance overall profitability and support the company’s long-term growth. Additionally, this role is instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, building strong client and supplier relationships, and leading Safety Steel Structures towards innovation and market leadership .

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate must have tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines and proven leadership experience within the shed construction industry preferably. Safety Steel Structures is seeking a motivated team player and strategic leader with strong time management and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Candidates with sound knowledge and understanding of the shed market across Australia, excellent business acumen and solid financial management experience are highly encouraged to apply for this role.
