Lead the change, from the frontline

Critical Experience

  • Experience in Cyber Security focused roles.
  • Experience with system hardening across a wide scope of systems,
  • Awareness and experience complying with the Australian Signal Directorates (ASD) Essential 8.
  • Familiarity with the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF) favourable.
  • Familiarity with various industry standards, frameworks and applicable laws such as ISO:27001, NISTSP800-53, GDPR, Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act.
  • Experience with cyber security incident investigation and remediation, including forensic data gathering.
  • Experience with various Identity and Access Management platforms including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Authenticator, Okta, Ping ID etc.
  • Experience in cyber security monitoring and logging configurations to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOC).
  • Experience with securing Amazon Web Services workloads highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and triage complex issues involving multiple stakeholder

Critical Knowledge

  • Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices and technologies, including encryption, access control, intrusion detection/prevention systems, penetration testing, threat intelligence and incident response procedures, is critical for protecting IT systems and data.
  • Virtualisation and Containerisation: Understanding virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and containerisation platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) enables efficient resource utilisation, scalability and deployment flexibility.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and service delivery processes such as incident management, change management, problem management and service-level management, facilitates effective IT service delivery and alignment with Shell Energy's business objectives.

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions
  • Time Management: Managing commitments and time effectively and prioritising tasks based on urgency and importance is critical
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision. One must also be able to multitask multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and efficiency
