The Role

Our Salisbury site in Adelaide's northern suburbs manufactures a range of more than 78 milk and milk-based products. This site is a combined production and distribution facility producing well-known brands such as Pura, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Feel Good; and distributes across predominantly SA and NT, but also NSW and VIC.

We're looking for a collaborative, people-focused safety leader to help guide and grow Bega Group's health and safety culture. In this role, you'll work closely with site teams to coach, mentor, and empower individuals at all levels. You'll help shape a workplace where everyone feels safe, supported, and confident speaking up.

It's a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover role. We will consider applicants seeking part-time work from Monday to Friday, or four days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor site teams in health & safety best practices
  • Identify and reduce safety and well-being risks
  • Foster a positive, inclusive safety culture
  • Use data to guide continuous improvement
  • Prepare reports and lead engaging safety discussions

About you

  • A background in safety with practical experience and a WHS Diploma or Certificate IV is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for creating an inclusive, caring safety culture
  • Strong risk management skills and practical guidance capability
  • Great communication and a collaborative mindset
  • ICAM or similar investigation knowledge (a bonus, not essential)
