Recoveries & Settlements Specialist

The Role:

As a Commercial Recoveries & Settlements Specialist, you will report directly to the Operational Risk Manager and play a key role in managing supplier relationships within the Third Party Recoveries & Settlements team. This role involves:
  • Building and maintaining strong, compliant relationships with insurance suppliers, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
  • Monitoring supplier adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GICOP, Privacy, and CPS230.
  • Utilising your analytical skills to assess supplier performance, trends, and key metrics, while providing insightful reports to senior management.
  • Facilitating negotiations, renewals, and reviews of supplier contracts, ensuring they align with business objectives and compliance obligations.
  • Proactively identifying risks or conflicts, proposing solutions, and ensuring smooth operations within the claims process.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to meet performance targets and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs, driving improvements and ensuring service quality.
  • Ensure suppliers meet regulatory requirements and maintain internal policies.
  • Address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner to safeguard business operations.
  • Work closely with internal teams, providing guidance and training to ensure effective onboarding and performance management.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within insurance, recoveries, or claims management
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards, including GICOP, Privacy, and CPS230
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance evaluation
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including legal teams and suppliers
  • Hands-on experience in risk management and supplier performance is essential; formal qualifications are not required
