Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a PART-TIME Pricing Specialist in Perth or Brisbane.


Key responsibilities:

  • Working within the Local and Regional Tender Management (TM) team to create, assemble, and deliver key commercial tender responses/proposals.
  • Support commercial aspects of tender requests and perform cost analysis
  • Assign and distribute tasks and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during bidding process
  • Obtain and negotiate rates with carriers and deugro sub-contractors
  • Able to read ocean and air freight rates as well as understanding of common terms and conditions.
  • Able to calculate rate and price conversion. Converts and verifies shipment weight and volume. Uses rate charts to convert foreign currency to U.S. Dollars and vice-versa
  • Develop and establish communication with foreign operations, carriers, and local customers
  • Build communication / relationships with vendor, shipper, customer, carrier and deugro overseas offices throughout the tendering process
  • Present competitive pricing / bid packages including follow up with customers to obtain feedback
  • Maintain rate database, service contracts and port tariffs and other key documents
  • Maintain and follow TM log and be able to generate reports as needed



Skills, knowledge and expertise:

  • Excellent knowledge in managing comercial and operational aspects in all major freight forwarding disciplines land, air, ocean, specialized heavy or over dimensional transport for industrial projects (at least 5 years of experience)
  • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, airports
  • Effective time management skills and capable to evaluate competing deadlines and prioritize workflow
  • Strong commercial, technical and financial acumen
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, control)
  • Possess knowledge and/or awareness of risk factors and be familiar with basic measures to manage and mitigate risk
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and PC skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, team focused and self-starter, eye for detail
  • MS Office experience: MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Vizio, MS Power Point, and other software/tools
  • Has what it takes to create a winning bid proposal in a lead or support function
