State Operations Manager

As they continue to grow, Love Athletica is looking for a State Manager to lead operations in South Australia — ensuring seamless day-to-day studio management, building high-performing teams, and helping drive the next phase of expansion.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee all Love Athletica studio operations in SA — currently Norwood and Goodwood, with new locations on the horizon.

You’ll be responsible for driving performance, team development, and a standout client experience, ensuring the Love Athletica brand is delivered consistently at a local level. From rostering and recruitment planning to supporting retention, logistics, and culture, this role is perfect for a people-first operator who thrives in a fast-paced, service-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Operations & Performance

• Oversee daily operations across all SA studios
• Drive operational efficiency and high-quality client experiences
• Lead resource planning, rostering, and scheduling with local teams
• Ensure compliance with OH&S, equipment, and facility needs

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and mentor a team of Studio Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Head Trainers
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews
• Foster a values-led, high-performing studio culture
• Be available across flexible hours, including occasional weekends

Strategic Growth & Innovation

• Support the launch of new SA studios in line with growth plans
• Identify and action local opportunities for operational improvement
• Trial and implement new tools and systems at the state level

About You

• Experience in a multi-site leadership role (fitness, retail, wellness, hospitality, or service)
• Strong operations know-how — especially in rostering, HR processes, and client experience
• Demonstrated leadership of large, diverse teams
• Tech-savvy and quick to pick up systems (MindBody, Asana, Google Workspace)
• Calm, proactive, people-oriented leader who can inspire peers
• Available to work flexibly, including some weekends and evenings
• Passionate about wellness and movement
