About the role
AGL's Renewables team have a newly created opportunity for an Electrical Engineer - Battery.
Based in Adelaide, you will be accountable for asset management and reliability analysis, ensuring performance and regulatory requirements are identified and managed effectively.
With AGL's grid-scale battery fleet expanding, this role provides the opportunity for extensive career progression and collaboration across operational and engineering teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with the operational and engineering teams.
- Developing asset management strategies and ensuring the development and delivering of asset management life cycle
- Reviewing and implementing effective risk management plans.
- Supporting AGL's evaluation and management of assets and managing relationships with OEMs & contractors.
- Working closely with regulatory agencies
- Continually monitoring asset performance against regulatory requirements
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Experience in control/communication system (preferred)
- Strong understanding of GPS and NEM ancillary services, specifically FCAS and relative data analysis skill.
- Technical experience with generation assets
- Understanding and awareness of commercial scale renewable energy generation
- Collaborative approach to project
- Strong problem-solving skills
