About the role

AGL's Renewables team have a newly created opportunity for an Electrical Engineer - Battery.

Based in Adelaide, you will be accountable for asset management and reliability analysis, ensuring performance and regulatory requirements are identified and managed effectively.

With AGL's grid-scale battery fleet expanding, this role provides the opportunity for extensive career progression and collaboration across operational and engineering teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborating with the operational and engineering teams.
• Developing asset management strategies and ensuring the development and delivering of asset management life cycle
• Reviewing and implementing effective risk management plans.
• Supporting AGL's evaluation and management of assets and managing relationships with OEMs & contractors.
• Working closely with regulatory agencies
• Continually monitoring asset performance against regulatory requirements

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Experience in control/communication system (preferred)
• Strong understanding of GPS and NEM ancillary services, specifically FCAS and relative data analysis skill.
• Technical experience with generation assets
• Understanding and awareness of commercial scale renewable energy generation
• Collaborative approach to project
• Strong problem-solving skills
