We are seeking a Compensation Claims Manager to join our Working Well branch.


As a Compensation Claims Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act 1988).


Your purpose will be to manage and support the Claims and Liability team to deliver sustainable outcomes for injured workers and to ensure continued performance across the delegated claims management arrangements.


You will lead a small team in assessing claims, providing expert advice on legislative entitlements, including assessing liabilities and risks, and ensuring best practice in claims management. You’ll coordinate key relationships with Comcare and Gallagher Bassett as part of the ATO’s unique delegated claims management arrangement. You’ll produce high quality reports, correspondence and case summaries, leading by example while empowering your team to achieve excellence in their own work.


More broadly, you will play a vital role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a positive team culture both within the Health team and across the Working Well branch.


This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Moonee Ponds, Penrith or Wollongong. A merit pool may be formed and used to fill future similar vacancies in these locations and other locations within the same metropolitan area.
