The Role
The Commercial Finance Manager will play a critical role in shaping the financial and strategic direction of the business in Australia and New Zealand. Reporting jointly to the General Manager and the Regional CFO, this role will be responsible for building robust financial forecasts, analysing customer-level profitability, and supporting decision-making across sales, operations, and supply chain. The role also encompasses core financial control, month-end reporting, and compliance responsibilities.

The role also encompasses core financial control, month-end reporting, and compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Operations to deliver rolling forecasts, business planning, and insightful variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain customer-level P&Ls to support pricing and profitability decisions.
- Monitor stock flow and working capital in collaboration with the Supply Chain team.
- Lead month-end close including journal preparation, accruals, and management reporting.
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through accurate reconciliations and adherence to internal controls.
- Manage compliance processes including BAS, tax reporting, and audit preparation under local GAAP/IFRS.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support capital expenditure reporting.
- Assist in payroll support and contribute to financial year-end and ad hoc projects as needed.
- Commercial Acumen & Business Partnering – Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable commercial insights; experienced in partnering with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting – Demonstrated experience building forecasts and budgets across revenue, margin, and inventory.
- Inventory & Stock Flow Oversight – Experience in businesses with inventory or supply chain dependencies; confident managing stock reporting and working capital.
- Reporting & Compliance Expertise – Strong technical grounding in month-end processes, balance sheet management, and financial compliance.
- Analytical & System Capability – Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and reporting systems; able to develop financial models and scenario-based analysis.
