9 Month contract Start ASAP - possible extensions

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Clearance: Australian Citizenship required + NV1 Clearance

We're hiring two Systems Engineers to join a high-profile Defence program delivering advanced Defence capability. These are full-time, Melbourne-based positions.

We Are Looking For

• 2 x Systems Engineer - Electrical Focus
• 2 x Systems Engineer - C4i Focus
  
  

About The Roles

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, integration, and verification of either electrical systems or command, control, communications, and intelligence (C4i) systems within an advanced vehicle platform.

Systems Engineer - Electrical

• Power management and distribution
• Lighting and electrical safety systems
• Health Usage and Monitoring Systems (HUMS)
• Ensure compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) and safety standards
• Engage in systems engineering activities: requirements, safety, V&V, configuration
  
  

Systems Engineer - C4i

• Engineer and integrate C4i systems, including:
• Tactical communications and Battle Management Systems (BMS)
• Systems-security engineering and secure data environments
• Support the operation and development of the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL)
• Contribute to full systems engineering lifecycle, from analysis through verification
  

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in complex systems development (Defence, transport, or similar)
• Background in either electrical systems engineering or communications/C4i/systems integration
• Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with Defence standards, system safety, and verification frameworks (highly regarded)
