A defence client of ours is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for next-generation defence platforms. This is a key role within the Electronic Architecture team, collaborating across disciplines and managing high-value subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, safety assessments, verification & validation, and compliance reviews.
- Contribute to and manage delivery of engineering documentation (DIDs), ensuring alignment with customer and legislative requirements.
- Evaluate delivered systems against customer expectations, identify risk, and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical oversight to subcontractors including C4 systems providers within the Electronic Architecture domain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence design outcomes, and support junior engineering staff.
- Degree-qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Experience delivering complex electrical engineering outcomes within defence or similar regulated industries.
- Sound understanding of military standards, power distribution, and safety compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to operate in a high-tempo environment with precision and accountability.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working toward Engineers Australia chartership.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Defence clearance eligibility).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum NV1 security clearance.
