About the role:
This role supports the Network Operations team by developing and maintaining backend infrastructure and web tools, primarily using Python.
This role also includes contributing to BAU network support tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation tools including REST APIs, Django and Python apps to support network operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose automation solutions
- Support BAU operations through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
- Build and maintain automation solution for reporting and alerting to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage and resolve incident and problem tickets in line with ITIL processes
- Ensure compliance with Origin’s incident and change management procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation tools and operational workflows.
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network automation and management.
- Proficient in Python and building REST APIs, with Django and front-end framework (React/Vue/Angular) experience.
- Familiarity with Nautobot, NetBox, Nornir, and network inventory tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway) and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and CI/CD development practices.
- Excellent communication and service delivery management skills.
