Mills Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded EPC/EPCM provider to recruit a Senior Process Engineer with extensive gold project experience. Our client has a strong reputation for successfully delivering projects across Australia, from concept through to execution, across the resources sector. Responsibilities
- Contribute across all project phases – from concept studies to detailed design – on gold and other metals projects.
- Develop and optimise process flowsheets for greenfield and brownfield metallurgical plants.
- Undertake trade-off studies to determine the most efficient and cost-effective project solutions.
- Prepare design calculations and process simulations using industry-standard software.
- Generate process equipment data sheets and mass balance models.
- Provide input to other engineering disciplines and support overall project delivery.
- Assist in preparing capital and operating cost estimates.
- Engage directly with clients to understand and deliver on project and business needs.
- Mentor junior and graduate engineers to support team development.
About You
- Degree qualified in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years’ process engineering experience within the metallurgical industry, with a strong focus on gold processing.
- Prior experience in an EPC/EPCM, consulting, or contracting environment.
- Operational site experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers is advantageous.
- Adaptable, solution-focused, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
