Lead / Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mills Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client – a leading EPC/EPCM provider with a proven track record in delivering small to large-scale projects across the resources sector. Specialising in the design and construction of mineral processing facilities, our client operates on projects nationwide and is known for delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Engineering Teams, Junior Engineers, Project Managers, and Construction Managers
• Assist in the preparation of project proposal submissions
• Perform mechanical calculations related to conveyors, crushing, and milling equipment
• Support the development and optimisation of plant and equipment availability through maintenance systems
• Assist with mechanical tender submissions, reviews, and preparation of procurement packages

About You

You will bring the following to the role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience
• Proven experience working in mineral processing, particularly gold projects
• Familiarity with mechanical drafting and design software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
