The Business Analyst Role
As a Business Analyst (BA) at EventsAir, you'll be the mastermind behind delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions across the Attendee and Planner Experience domains.
You'll work closely with our Product Owner to refine, validate, and document requirements, ensuring they're development-ready and aligned with sprint goals. Get ready to be a key player in shaping the future of event management!
What You'll Be Doing
Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Team up with the Product Owner, stakeholders, customers, and tech teams to gather, define, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
- Dive deep into stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and market research to understand user needs and system interactions.
- Create magic by documenting current and future state process flows, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Product Development Lifecycle Support:
- Transform ideas into specifications that can be used within development cycles.
- Be hands-on in the day-to-day software development lifecycle, collaborating with the PO, developers, UX, and QA team.
- Ensure perfection by making sure specifications are implemented correctly and impact the customer positively.
- Lead the charge in agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Keep the vision alive by ensuring alignment of delivery with product vision across the Attendee and Planner Experience streams.
Documentation & Communication:
- Craft clear documentation for business requirements, workflows, and decision logs.
- Bridge the gap by communicating complex concepts and requirements in a way that's easy for both technical and non-technical audiences to understand.
What You Will Need for This Role
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within a software product or SaaS environment.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proven track record of working in Agile product teams.
- Ability to define user stories and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Top-notch communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and similar.
