About The Role
Reporting to the Supervisor Plant Control, you will provide additional leadership and technical expertise to the team as well as coverage for the Supervisor as required. Located in Perth you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of all fixed plant equipment.
Coverage for the Supervisor Fixed Plant Control will also be a mandatory function as required. They shall carry out the normal function of a Plant Controller but also maintain a bigger picture view to ensure that company standards are met, while achieving the safe and efficient execution of the Fixed Plant Control Plan.
You will ensure that production decisions made throughout the shift, are in line with the current operating standards and that the escalation procedure is followed when triggered. As the Senior Plant Controller you will act as a mentor for trainees or less experienced controllers and will assist the Supervisor Fixed Plant Control.
We are currently seeking the services of a Port Controller to contribute to the achievement of production targets through coordinating the movements of equipment, monitoring plant, responding to faults and adjusting operating parameters to ensure production rates are optimised while at all times ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities Include
Employees on this roster enjoy two full weekends off out of four and will align to the following shift rotation: 2D2N5X, 2D3N4X, 3D2N5X. Shifts are 12.5 hours including handover and you will benefit from additional shift allowances, as part of your remuneration package. As an added benefit, those on a Lifestyle Roster will also enjoy an additional week of annual leave per year.

Our Control Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using advanced, real-time technology to enable visibility and control, across the entire Iron Ore supply chain. As a technology enabled centre of excellence, IROC employees work collaboratively with site on a shift-to-shift basis to make faster decisions improving safety and optimising value across the supply chain. Within IROC, you will work with passionate, innovative and results driven individuals who bring the best of themselves to what they do. About The Role

- Control Execution of the production plan and response to deviations
- Plant Monitoring and Control of all Port Operations Fixed Plant Infrastructure, including car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers, ship loaders, rescreening plants and conveyor network
- Key interface between Scheduling, Rail and Port operations
- Quality data capture for production downtime/delay accounting
- Remote/Autonomous shiploading

About You
To be successful in this role, it is critical that you possess the following:
- A demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and the environment is essential
- You will be comfortable with detailed reporting and analytics, as well as drawing concise data from these activities to identify faults and optimise operational outputs
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A high level of computer literacy and system application
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exposure to Port and/or Ship Loading operations or maintenance is desirable
- Experience in Control operations would be advantageous
- Highly developed problem solving and decision making ability
