About the Role
INDEX Consultants is partnering with a federal government agency to engage experienced Senior Business Analysts for upcoming transformation initiatives. The BA will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver impactful business solutions aligned with regulatory and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis and solution design activities across multiple work streams
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation including functional/non-functional requirements, process maps, user journeys, and use cases
- Analyse business processes and information flows, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and act as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Contribute to enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives and platform enhancements
Skills Requirement:
- At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst on federal or state government projects.
- Strong background in technical writing, producing high-quality documentation such as requirements, procedures, and guidelines.
- Business Analyst certification aligned with industry standards.
- Experience delivering solutions supporting legislative change.
- Background in safety-related domains such as maritime, road, or air safety or related regulatory functions.
- MANDATORY - Australian Citizenship is necessary for this role.
- Experience with tools/technologies such as Dynamics 365, SmartIQ (Intelledox), HTML forms, identity management, and portal services would be highly regarded.
