We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with an electrical background within construction to join our team on a FIFO 2:1 roster on an upcoming project set to begin in late June or early July. This position will be a FULL-TIME position with SIMPEC and offers ongoing & long-term opportunities within the business across a healthy pipeline of projects.

The Role
- Lead proactively and take ownership of SIMPEC’s HSEQ culture and overall project performance and ensure all site resources (personnel) are engaged and aligned to our Safety Standards.
- Ensure project teams meet the SIMPEC’s and client’s deliverables and objectives in relation to budget, schedule and overall project delivery.
- Manage all site based TQ’s, Variations and RFI’s clearly through to the client, correct storage of project documentation in applicable folder locations and maintain adequate reporting.
- Ensure appropriate consideration and assessment is undertaken with respect to commercial risks and liabilities in the expansion or changes to the project.
- Ensure site-based QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained through to practical completion (PC).
- Lead or participate in project reviews to proactively identify issues, implement mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain open and professional communication with client representatives, ensuring strong and lasting client relationships.
- Develop, analyse, and present detailed project performance reports, including cost, schedule, safety, and progress.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical construction or resources sectors
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, business management or construction or relevant trade background
- Contractor experience, strongly desirable
- Lump sum contracting experience required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders and team members at all levels.
- Proven experience and comprehension in planning, scheduling, contract management and administration including construction estimating and cost control in the delivery of successful projects.
- Ability to establish strong and trusted working relationships with key client representatives
- Demonstrated understanding of governing Australian standards
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure in dynamic environments
