Are you ready to take on a leadership role where your expertise can truly change lives? Liverpool Hospital is looking for a passionate and skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2) to coordinate our innovative Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) program.

As the TAVI CNC Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in guiding patients through every stage of their care journey—from referral to recovery. You’ll be the vital link between patients, families, and a collaborative team of Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, and healthcare professionals.

Where you'll be working

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Describe your experience in coordinating complex patient pathways, particularly in cardiac or procedural services. How have you ensured timely assessments, diagnostics, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration in a high-acuity setting such as TAVI?
  • Provide an example of how you have supported a patient and their family through a complex cardiac procedure. How did you communicate clinical information, manage expectations, and ensure the patient felt informed and empowered throughout their journey?
  • The TAVI CNC plays a key role in developing and refining clinical workflows. Describe a time when you identified an opportunity to improve patient safety, efficiency, or outcomes in a procedural or cardiac service. What actions did you take, and what was the result?
