Working directly with our Head of FP&A, Retail GM's and logistic Business Partners, you'll develop the strategic thinking skills that separate senior finance professionals from the rest. You'll lead the New Zealand business analysis, as well as supporting the Retail Operational process and Logistics. This will give you genuine ownership and cross-market exposure that's rare at this career stage.

You'll be an analytical backbone supporting Freedom's strategic decisions, working directly with our leadership team to shape the company's financial future.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you'll focus on high-impact activities that matter:
- Partner with executive leadership to develop medium and long-term financial strategies that drive growth
- Collaborate with Business Unit heads to create annual budgets and forecasts that set realistic yet ambitious targets
- Build financial models that predict market opportunities and guide investment decisions
- Deliver competitor analysis and market intelligence that keeps Freedom ahead of retail trends
- Transform complex financial data into clear insights that influence major business decisions
- Lead the financial analysis for our New Zealand operations, giving you genuine market ownership
- Utilise advanced BI tools to uncover performance insights that drive weekly and monthly strategic discussions
We're looking for an analytical thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a real impact.
You'll excel in this role if you have:
- 3-5 years of analytical experience where you've turned data into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills that help you build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Experience with BI and reporting tools, with curiosity to master new technologies
- The ability to influence others through clear, compelling analysis
- An accounting background (CPA/CA certification valued but not essential)
- Experience in mid-tier companies where you've dealt with complex, scalable processes
- Retail sector experience is advantageous but your analytical skills and growth mindset matter more
