As our Senior Payroll Officer, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. You’ll play a key role in the team to manage end-to-end payroll for a large, diverse workforce, navigate complex awards and agreements, and contribute to continuous improvement in payroll systems and processes.

About The Role
As our Senior Payroll Officer, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. You’ll play a key role in the team to manage end-to-end payroll for a large, diverse workforce, navigate complex awards and agreements, and contribute to continuous improvement in payroll systems and processes.
What You’ll Do
- Process end-to-end payroll for over 1800 employees across multiple sites
- Understand and apply relevant awards and legislation
- Support the management of superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Lead and support payroll projects and system upgrades
- Provide guidance and mentorship to payroll staff
- Experience in a senior payroll role with an understanding of end to end payroll processes
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements
- Experience with large payroll systems, Chris21 advantageous
- High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solver
