The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team works in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams
You’ll provide critical analysis and reporting to aid in the origination and structuring of new business opportunities within the Australian electricity market

The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team works in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams
You’ll provide critical analysis and reporting to aid in the origination and structuring of new business opportunities within the Australian electricity market
- analyse market data and financial metrics, creating reports, dashboards, and tools to support decision-making for Originators
- build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, provide accurate and timely data analysis for structuring deals
- contribute in pre-transaction due diligence and provide documentation support for transaction approval.
- conduct in-depth market research on supply-demand dynamics, pricing, competitors’ behaviour and regulatory changes to inform origination strategy in coordination with the analytical team
- Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as an Energy Market analyst, Strategic Analyst, Trading analyst or similar commercial role within the wholesale Australian Electricity sector
- Demonstrable experience in energy market analysis and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Exposure to market driven negotiations (power trading, long term/complex agreement)
- Commercial acumen within the thermal, hybrid, renewable or storage sector experience of C&I markets
- Ability to interpret complex data and present a number-led story to varied audiences including cross-functional teams and leadership
