We’re seeking a skilled Bush Regenerator Supervisor to join our Central Queensland team, based in Rockhampton—the gateway to diverse landscapes, pristine beaches, national parks, and rich cultural heritage. In this role, you will work closely with our project managers to oversee day-to-day on-ground operations at our bush regeneration sites and mentor our teams to deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise field teams in weed control on a variety of sites that include remote natural areas and industrial projects.
  • Conduct various weed control techniques including application of herbicide using best practice techniques and following legislation.
  • Provide technical support for identifying native vegetation and managing noxious and environmental weeds.
  • Address operational issues such as equipment requirements and safety (OH&S) concerns.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, clients, partners and Ecosure field teams
  • Lead revegetation activities, focusing on planting native flora.
  • Support additional bush regeneration efforts as required.
  • Proactively and positively communicate and engage with our clients and stakeholders.

About You

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystems Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience leading field teams in ecological restoration projects.
  • Strong identification skills for Central Queensland flora, including both native and exotic species across different ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying a range of ecological restoration approaches and revegetation techniques.
  • High physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of fieldwork.
  • Commitment to safety and promoting Ecosure’s safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Manual Driver’s Licence and experience operating 4WD vehicles.
  • Comfortable working in and navigating remote areas.

Essential Requirements (or willingness to obtain):

  • Police Check
  • ChemCert or ACDC certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Chainsaw ticket
  • Competent with using computer systems and apps.
