About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Mackay team.

Supporting a major mining client in the Bowen Basin, you will be the first point of contact for our Company and the integral link for supporting a major account and a valued customer. Your extensive knowledge of large mining hydraulic excavators and off-highway trucks will enable you to be successful in this customer facing role.


Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Knowledge - Trusted to provide holistic technical advice on machine and electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components for Hitachi's range of large mining trucks and excavators. In depth understanding of failure analysis principles and the ability to relay this to the customer is essential
• Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi's number one priority - always exercising a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and for others around you. Active participation in hazard and safety conversation reporting will be a requirement in this position.
• Trade Qualified - Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• Project Coordination - Committed to meeting deadlines through planning and execution of shutdowns, working collaboratively with service and parts departments to meet and exceed customer expectations and working with Hitachi's internal departments to maximise value for our customer
