About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Marrickville.

The Finance team is responsible for effective and efficient financial processes and controls to enable MTC Australia to fulfil its vision.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in improving financial controls, drafting and maintaining key policies and procedures, and contributing to the success of our financial process improvement projects. Other key duties of the role will include:

  • Supporting the CFO in planning and executing financial process improvement projects to optimise financial operations of the organisation.
  • Enhancing financial control by developing and maintaining policies and procedures that support best practice.
  • Collaborating with the PMO Manager in managing the project portfolios.
  • Developing and monitoring financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Managing project portfolio reporting.
  • Other duties as required.

About You:

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

  • CPA or CA Qualified.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with specialisation in Commerce or Accounting.
  • Strong Analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in financial analysis and driving process optimisation.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and consultation skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial control & policy drafting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and BI tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
