The Role
As the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Corporate Services in maintaining the organisation’s financial health. You will ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, while managing financial records, reconciliations, transactions, and financial statements.
Your role will also support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, offering insights to support informed decision-making and operational efficiency. In addition to core accounting duties, you’ll support management accounting through financial modelling, variance reporting, and cost monitoring across sub-sectors and levy periods. The duties of your role will include but not be limited to the following.
The successful candidate will be a CPA or CA-qualified Senior Accountant that has strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in MYOB, Excel, and Power BI. This role requires solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities independently and in a team. Previous experience in financial services, the public sector, or NFPs will be advantageous but it is not essential.

- Develop and maintain financial reporting systems
- Analyse and report key financial data
- Assist in developing the annual budget
- Report monthly forecasts and cash flow
- Prepare annual financial statements and support audits
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile sub-ledgers and registers
- Prepare payroll and BAS
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the Head of Corporate Services
