One of our Federal Government clients is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major digital delivery program driving the successful execution of high impact projects that enhance organisational resilience, innovation and service delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Blending your project management and technical skill sets to deliver a variety of cyber security focused projects.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal IT and stakeholders as well as external stakeholders where appropriate
- Complying with the Project Management methodology which is based on PRINCE2, and company System Development methodology (Agile, Hybrid or Waterfall as required).
- Driving projects to deliver within the approved KPIs: time, budget, scope, quality, risk and benefit
- Embedding the change utilising the Organisational Change Management Framework
- Providing appropriate reporting to relevant project boards, sponsors and stakeholders
- Controlling the project using appropriate tools and escalating early to minimise risk to success
- Identifying resource requirements, engaging and managing resources.
Skills & experience
- Minimum 7 years project management experience, with involvement in cyber transformation initiatives and Australian Government projects being highly regarded
- Minimum 3 years agile delivery experience
- Current formal qualification in project management: e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK
- Experience in delivering cyber transformation and remediation projects
- Current Australian Government security clearance will be highly regarded
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes

- Build, maintain and utilise networks and relationships within the organisation and across external stakeholders (i.e. industry, government, other regulatory bodies)
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to enable / achieve effective regulatory outcomes and to produce effective strategies and solutions
